"Expendables 2" lawsuit was filed over a stunt that went wrong

When "Expendables 2" was being shot it left a man injured during an explosion scene that left one man died. Today they filed the law suit against Millennium Films and other productions that are involved in this movie. Explosives and other hazardous activies started this explosion. This was the productions fault for not making sure that everything was alright. The man was injured really badly. His neck, back and other body parts were injured pretty badly.
I article is important because the safety of people is really important. It caught my attention because I thought that it was unexpected to hear about an explosion injuring a person. I thought that the people on set made it safe for them not to get hurt. This article impacts me as a student and a future film maker because it tells me that it is dangerous to be on a set with explosives and that I should make sure that nothing goes wrong on set. This article impacts me as a consumber because it lets me know that hard work was put into this. People might even risk their lives to do the scene. Some questions that I have are, "How much will the productions get sued for?", "Will other productions become more careful in shooting a scene around explosives?", and "Is the injured guy going to be okay?".

Google and Dish Partnering Up For Wireless Service

Google and Dish are exploring wireless partnership to have wireless service. Google and Dish are doing this so they can compete against other new wireless service like AT&T and Verizon. This partnership might lead to nowhere according to Journal. Dish has also been wanting to build a mobile phone and internet service but with a partner. The chair man of Dish said that there are many companies out there that don't have a wireless business but would like to be in it. Ergen, the chair man of dish, also says it would be a lot easier for dish to accomplish their goal. Google on the other hand has already started to expand into Internet delivery to personal computers and mobile devices. They have also begun to install fiber-optic cable to houses in Kansas City. Google has an ultra highspeed internet and video delivery that can already compete with Time Warner Cable and Dish. Google feels that faster internet at homes and on phones will make people search more things.
I feel that this article is important because it talks about two big companies working together to make a wireless service. Wireless service is going to be our future. So its a good thing that companies are working together to make this. This article impacts me as a student because it tells me that the futuristic gadgets will be coming sooner then we think. Once you know it, all the cable boxes will be wireless. The article impacts me as a future film maker because it informs me that I can work with other big companies to make a project and that Google is a good company to work with. The article impacts me as a consumer because it tells me that I can get a wireless cable box soon. It also tells me that Google is planning on making internet faster for phones and homes. Will Google and Dish accomplish on making a wireless service? Will Time Warner work with a company to do this as well? How will Verizon and AT&T react to this?

Transformers 4 adds a new actor

Mark Wahlberg will be in the movie Transformers 4. Michael Bay says “Mark is awesome. We had a blast working on Pain And Gain and I’m so fired up to be back working with him. An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers’ legacy,”. He feels that he will get this movie going. The movie is due to hit the big screen on June 27, 2014. Mark Wahleberg is a busy man. He will also be coming out in another movie that comes out on April 26, 2013. Don Murphy, Tom DeSanto, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Ian Bryce will produce "Transformers 4". The other three Transformers films made $2.6 billion dollars world wide.
I thought that this article is important because Michael Bay wanted to add someone that he thought would make it better. It caught my attention because I saw Mark Wahlberg's name. I many of his movies. He is a good actor. A couple of movies that I liked that he came out in are "Ted" and "Shooter". I really liked those movies. One is a comedy and the other one is an action movie. Maybe its a good thing that he comes into this movie. This impacts me as a student and future film maker because I know that I can add new people to my film. This can impact me as a consumer because of the fact that Mark Wahlberg is coming out in the film it makes me want to go see the movie even more. Some question that this article will raise are How will this movie come out? Will Mark Wahlberg make a difference in the movie? What will he play as? Will Mark have a main role?

Disney and ABC Television donates money to Hurricane Sandy Foundation

The CEO chairman of Walt Disney, Robert A. Iger, donates $2 Million to the Hurricane Sandy foundation. He donated money so they can rebuild it. Disney and ABC have made a date where you can donate money so it can go to Hurricane Sandy. The date is November 5, 2012 and is called the "Day of Giving". They decided to make this happen because they notice that their friends, family and millions of people in the North East effected them. This will be an all day thing. They expect 10 million viewers to watch this. ABC News anchors will be encouraging people to donate to American Red Cross. The show "Dancing With The Stars" will talk about the "Day of Giving". On Monday Night Football they will mention the "Day of Giving". Most channels will be talking about it because it impacted many people and they need donations to get back on their feet.
This article is important because it talks about how Disney and ABC donates money to devastating weather catastrophe. This article caught my attention because I have never heard of a television group that has donated money to a weather disaster. This impacts me as a student because it lets me know that I can donate money to the Hurricane Sandy donation. This impacts me as a future film maker because it lets me know that I can start a donation foundation to go to a good cause. The article impacts me as a consumer because it tells me that I can donate money or buy things that can go towards that cause just like how they have breast cancer products that go toward the research of breast cancer. Some questions that this article builds are "Will another television group make another foundation?" , "Will celebrities donate a big amount of money to the donation?" , "How will the Day of Giving turn out?

Adam Sandlers Next Film "Ridiculous 6"

Adam Sandler next movie is "Ridiculous 6". Paramount Pictures will start to film this movie in April. This movie is a comedy western. Adam Sandler will be getting help from Happy Madison. He is ready to start to film. He doesn't know if Sony is saving up money to make the Ghostbuster sequel. The people think that he should wait and stay away from the studio. Adam Sandler can make some good profit out of this movie because he makes a good amount of most of his movies. He made $188 million world wide in the movie Hotel Transylvania.
This article caught my attention because Adam Sandler is my favorite actor. I like all the movies that he comes out in. They are funny. This article impacts me as a student and a future film maker because it lets me know about how much someone has to think about before thinking about making a movie. I didn't think that really mattered until I read it right now. This article impacts me as a consumer because it lets me know that I should save money just for that movie and that I should expect the movie to come out in 2014. How will the movie come out? Will this movie make money? Will this movie be like Jack and Jill?

Sierra/Affinity are going to make the movie "Blackout"

Nick Meyer's is going to make the movie "Blackout" that is an action, thriller script by Sidney King.Broken Road Productions’ Todd Garner will produce with Sierra/Affinity. Jeremy Stein will be executive producer. The main idea of the movie is that a cop has to transport a mysterious and dangerous criminal across town and finds that job much more difficult when a city-wide blackout plunges them into darkness and chaos. Well at least that is what the website says. Nick Meyer is taking a chance on this movie because he thinks that it is a "a strong and smart action thriller".
This article caught my attention because I never heard of the production, Sierra/Affinity. I decided to see what was going out. I also thought that the name of the movie seemed interesting. It is important because its never bad to know about a knew movie and you never know if this movie will be good. This will impact a student, and a future film maker because the article lets you know that you can take chances with a movie and you might have success with it. You never know what can happen. This will impact a consumer because it talks about a new movie that will come out. How will the movie turn out? Is it a good idea for Nick Meyer to make this movie?

Paul Walker Injured On Set

Paul Walker got injured doing a stunt on set. He has a ACL injury. He is limping from the injury. Is he going to use automatic or stick shift. Well they confirmed that he will continue to drive stick shift. There are rumors saying that he broken his leg but he didn't. The doctors recommend for Paul Walker to rest until he is better. The movie might be postponed due to Paul Walker's injury. The sooner he gets better, the slimmer the chances of postponing the movie.
I think this is important a actor got injured by doing a stunt. This caught my attention because I haven't heard of a actor ever getting hurt on set. This is the first time of me ever hearing about this. I am also considering watching this movie which is another reason I read this article. This impacts me as a student because it lets me know that actors can get hurt on set. The article can impact me as a future film maker because I have to make sure that my actors are safe and I have to think about the consequences if my actor does get hurt. As a consumer this impacts me because I might have to wait longer to watch the movie. Some questions that this article will raise are: What will happen to Paul Walker? Will his injury get worse? Will they limit his acting in the movie? Can he sue? How does the director feel about his injury?

Warner Bros & Paramount

Warner Bros & Paramount talk about the media distribution deal. They have a strategic alliance with more than 600 catalog titles from the Paramount library. This deal allows Warner Bros to DVD and Blu-ray distribution and allow Paramount's UltraViolet offering available on a non exclusive basis through Flixster and the Warner Bros. movie streaming and discovery service. Warner Bros also want to add UltraViolet Digital Copies with the package media. The deal starts working in January 1,2013. Not all of the Paramount movies will be included in the deal. In fact a 100 corner stones wont be in the deal. Warner will get the chance to select new titles after the first 26 weeks release period.
This article is important to me because I watch the movies of these two studios. It caught my attention because i saw that they were announcing their deal. The impact on this article as a student and a future film maker is that they will teach you that you can work with different companies. When you go into the film industries you might have to make deals like this. If you do will have an idea based on the result of this deal between Warner Bros & Paramount. The impact on this article as a consumer is that the movies you watch might be different and the movie that you buy might be changed. Will this deal impact other industries? How will this deal turnout?

47 Ronin

Carl Rinsch is still working on "47 Ronin". There was talk about the movie being taken away from first time feature director Carl Rinsch due to the budget being at $225 million. Carl told reporters that that movie isn't going to cross the $200 million marker even though he had to redo some shots and work side by side with Universal Pictures. Carl has also had to postpone the movie until he is officially done with it or at least close to finishing it. As of right now though the release date is December 25, 2013. Universal is doing most of the work editing. Carl is usually known for commercial and short film. He is new to the whole huge movie process and gives the studio every right to protect the investment. The investment  is at least a $175 million 3D movie.
This is an important article because it talks about how a guy that shoots commercials and short films is now making movies. This article caught my attention because I never heard of the movie "47 Ronin", so I clicked on the link to read about it. This article makes an impact on a student and as a future film maker because it tells you a bit about reality. You can go from a person that starts off slow to a person making huge movies. It even tells you about how much money is used for the movie. It takes time and money to make a movie. This article can impact a consumer because it can tell you how the money is used for the movie and how much the tickets are going to cost. It also lets you know that there is no definite date that the movie will be released. How will the movie come out? How much money will they make out of this movie? Will other studios want to work with him?

FX Buys Thriller From Writer Stephen Belber

FX buys a thriller script. Many people were interested in Stephen's script but FX was more interested in it. The script was about a murder and a cover up. Stephen started off as a play writer and wrote the movie "Tape, The Laramie Project and Match". He is currently writing on 60 minute segment. He works with many different companies. Shows buy his scripts as well.
This article caught my eye because I am not a great writer and knowing that someone else did a good job and sold many scripts to different people is good. I would like to be a good writer one day. This is an impact to a student because they know that if they can major in English they might have a good career by writing scripts. This article makes an impact to a future film maker because it shows then that they can buy and write stories and can sell them or buy them. If they don't want a writer for their own company then can get writers that don't work for any companies.  This can impact a consumer because they can look into writers that are good at what they do. Will Stephen Belber become one of the best writers? Will this script that he just sold be big? What else will he write?

Pacific Rim

Guillermo Del Toro wants to make Pacific Rim into a 3D movie. He feels that movies that are 3D make way more money. He wants to join the billion dollar club. Some movies that made it to do list was The Avengers, Avatar, Alice and Wonderland and more. 3D movies are more expensive than 2D. This movie will come out in 2D and 3D on July 12, 2013.
I thought this is important because many people think that this movie will be a big hit. It caught my eye because I saw that it talked about a movie making billions. This article is important to students because it shows them that it cant be so hard to make a billion dollars off a movie. This article can impact the future film makers because it shows them that they can make a billion dollars off of making their movie in 2D and 3D. They have to make sure their movie is good though. This can also inspire the future film maker to give them ideas of how they can do their movies.

Wonder Woman Movie

DC has decided to come out with another series. They are going to give Wonder Woman a chance and do it based on the origins. The CW has given the script commitment to a drama. It will show that Diana will be a Amazonian right before she becomes a warrior princess with super powers. There has been many different stories just like one is about how Diana was a clay figure then she turns to life. She becomes the natural born daughter of Hippolyta and Zeus.
I thought this is important because it will make Marvel make some more super hero series. It caught my I because I am really into super hero movies and series and I didn't expect DC to make another Wonder Woman season. I think its a good idea that they will give the it a chance. I mean you will never know unless you try it. This article can impact a student in many ways for example it can give ideas to a student on writing super hero comic. I mean students think about how it would be if they had super powers so I they can come up with good ideas and write them down. This will impact a future film maker because it will show them that they can take chances on working on a series that ended. This will also give them ideas of what movies or series they can work on when they do become a film maker. Will this season be a success? Will Marvel make another season to compete against it? Will it get good reviews?

Terrence Malick

Terrence Malick is coming out with a new movie. His new movie is called "To The Wonder". Many people have been wondering if Terrence will be going to Venice or Toronto to see his premier. He did go to his last one but he was only their for a little bit and then left. People would even be betting if whether he would go to his premier. The reason why he doesn't go is because he feels that the movie should speak for itself.
This article caught my attention because I heard of Terrence Malick before and I wanted to know what the article was going to talk about. Its important because usually directors go to their own premier to see what people have to say about it but not Terrence. This article will impact a student because if you ever go to a premier you will see that some directors don't go because they feel that the film should speak for its own. The article can impact a future film maker because it can show that as you start getting into the film field you will notice that some people think that their film will be so good that they don't go or either because they don't want to deal with comments. It wouldn't really impact a consumer. Will Terrence Malick go to the premiere of "To The Wonder"? How will the movie turn out? If he doesn't show up to this one will he go to the next one?

Dream Works Animation signed with 20th Century Fox

Dream Works has sign a 5 year deal with 20th Century Fox. Movies like "Kung Fu Panda", " Shrek", and "Madagascar" are part of 20th Century Fox. Dream Works will be paying Fox 8% of revenue from box office and DVD sales. What Fox did was replace Paramount for Dream Works. Dream Works will still have the right to play movies on China's TV. They will get to play their movies on TV channel that they shared with Paramount. Katzenberg is planning on making a channel where they play Dream Work family brand cable channels. Dream Works has also signed to replace HBO and Netflix as it's pay television channel in the U.S. and it will officially take over by 2013. Dream Works first movie that will come out with Fox is "The Croods" and will come out in March 22 of next year.
This article is important because it shows that this company is expanding and will make great competition to any other studio production. Now that they are together they can make a great partnership and can make some good money together. Its also important because they are pretty well known industries. When I was little I remember seeing their names on "Shrek" and for Fox I remember seeing it with the "The Simpsons Movie". I liked both movies and they might come up with some good movies together. This can impact a future film maker because they can see how film industries can be when they join together. They will get to see how it works out with them and see whether if it was a good idea of them coming together. I think that they would make a good partnership based on the type of movies that they made. What will happen between them? How will Paramount do after this 5 year deal that Fox and Dream Works have? Will their be anymore deals that will make a difference in the film industry?

"The Bourne Legacy"

"The Bourne Legacy" series was a great success and the people that had brought this movie to such a high expectation of a movie are not even in it. The series of the movie was continued because it was so good that it was hard not to make another movie about it. Now that the movie is out it is the 'joys of the summer' due to its unexpected reactions that you will get out of it. Tony Gilroy knew the right way in how to take it to its best level of success. Gilroy did many important roles for the movie series of the "Bourne" by being the director and co-writer. He can do great things even though he goes through a lot.
The article is important because it shows how great of a director and co-writer Tony Gilroy is. He should be more recognized for his great success in this movie. I picked this article because I have seen some of the "Bourne" and it would be good to know more about this movie and how it did now that it is in theater.
The article can impact a student, future film maker and a consumer because of the fact that it tells you the movie is successful. The future film maker and student should know what made it such a great movie. This is useful for a consumer so he can know whether the movie is good or what to expect in it.
This article will probably get other directors to try to think just like Tony Gilroy. It would help the industry by making more directors and co-writers in making successful movies.
