Carl Rinsch is still working on "47 Ronin". There was talk about the movie being taken away from first time feature director Carl Rinsch due to the budget being at $225 million. Carl told reporters that that movie isn't going to cross the $200 million marker even though he had to redo some shots and work side by side with Universal Pictures. Carl has also had to postpone the movie until he is officially done with it or at least close to finishing it. As of right now though the release date is December 25, 2013. Universal is doing most of the work editing. Carl is usually known for commercial and short film. He is new to the whole huge movie process and gives the studio every right to protect the investment. The investment is at least a $175 million 3D movie.
This is an important article because it talks about how a guy that shoots commercials and short films is now making movies. This article caught my attention because I never heard of the movie "47 Ronin", so I clicked on the link to read about it. This article makes an impact on a student and as a future film maker because it tells you a bit about reality. You can go from a person that starts off slow to a person making huge movies. It even tells you about how much money is used for the movie. It takes time and money to make a movie. This article can impact a consumer because it can tell you how the money is used for the movie and how much the tickets are going to cost. It also lets you know that there is no definite date that the movie will be released. How will the movie come out? How much money will they make out of this movie? Will other studios want to work with him?
